Vans Taps Sneakersnstuff for Suede Take on the Knu Skool
Once again, Vans has brewed up momentum behind its bulkier take on the Old Skool — the Knu Skool. Initially released in 1998, it returned in Japan back in 2015 and has since seen a resurgence stateside. Earlier this year, Hypebeast connected with Vans global lifestyle footwear director Angie Dita as part of the weekly Sole Mates series where she selected the Knu Skool as her shoe of choice.
Now, the Knu Skool has been reworked by footwear specialists Sneakersnstuff. The collaborative design begins with a chocolate brown suede that cover a majority of the upper with off-white contrast stitching matching the shoe’s laces. This rough suede similarly lands on the Jazz stripe in a purple finish while a dark brown encapsulates the rubber sole unit to round out the look.
At the time of writing, neither Sneakersnstuff nor Vans have shared official release details pertaining to their collaborative take on the Knu Skool. Stay tuned for updates as we expect this pair to land on shelves in the coming weeks via Sneakersnstuff and select retailers.
