Aldi promote their Click and Collect service
This week, supermarkets including Tesco, Asda, Sainsbury’s, Morrisons and Waitrose have tightened shopping rules. Aldi has commented on the changes that shoppers will need to follow in stores.
Coronavirus restrictions are in place in all parts of the UK.
While rules vary in different parts of the country, most Britons have been asked to stay home as much as possible.
Visiting supermarkets for essential trips is still permitted but many retailers have tightened up their own shopping rules.
This week, Tesco, Asda, Sainsbury’s, Morrisons and Waitrose have all given warnings on wearing face coverings.

Wearing a face mask in supermarkets has been mandatory since last year with a small number of people exempt for medical reasons.
Retailers have now toughened up restrictions and will refuse entry to those not wearing a mask without an exemption.
Aldi is the latest supermarket to share an update on the shopping rules customers must follow.
The discount supermarket stated it has a focus on safety and explained those without masks will not be allowed to enter stores.
Chief executive officer at Aldi UK Giles Hurley said: “The safety of our colleagues and customers is our number one priority.
“Wearing a mask is mandatory for everyone that shops at Aldi, except for the small number of people who have a medical exemption.”
Aldi also shared it has recently doubled the number of sanitising stations available in stores.
The retailer has a number of safety measures in place to protect customers.
It has limited who is allowed to visit branches as shoppers are urged to visit stores alone where possible.
A statement said: “In order to help with social distancing, we are encouraging all customers to try and reduce the number of family members they bring with them into our stores.
“Where necessary we are using discretion, but like all supermarkets we’re asking people to come alone if possible to support social distancing in our stores.”
Aldi was one of the first supermarkets to introduce a traffic light system to track how many people were entering stores.
The system automatically controlled the number of customers going in and out of stores based on individual store limits.
The system aims to prevent overcrowding and make social distancing rules easy to maintain.
Communications director at Aldi Richard Thornton said: “The protection and safety of our customers and employees is our top priority.
“This new system is an accurate and effective way to allow us to control customer numbers in stores.”
