Aldi shoppers go wild for Jo Malone perfume dupe that’s £100 cheaper than luxury product

ALDI shoppers have been going wild for a dupe of a popular Jo Malone perfume, with the budget supermarket version coming in at £100 less than the original.

Fans of luxury brand Jo Malone may be familiar with the Lime, Basil and Mandarin cologne, but might have also winced at its £110 price tag when looking to buy.

Now, however, people can get their hands on Aldi's dupe of the scent, which is said to "smell exactly the same," for just £6.99, a fraction of the price at Jo Malone.

Aldi's Hotel Collection No.1 Lime, Basil and Mandarin perfume even looks like the Jo Malone one, with a silver bulb lid, see-through rectangle glass bottle and a chic black and white sticker, which means it won't look out of place on your dressing table.

Shopper Caroline Scampton gave the perfume a glowing review after she managed to get her hands on it, as she said it "smells exactly the same" as the £110 Jo Malone version.

Posting about her bargain find on the Extreme Couponing and Bargains UK group on Facebook, Caroline raved: ''As a lover of Jo Malone I saw this in Aldi and decided to try it – it’s the same size 100ml, it smells exactly the same and lasts longer!!!''

Since it went online a few days ago, her post has amassed over a thousand likes, no doubt meaning that many bargain hunters have already flocked to their local Aldi store to get their hands on it.

One person commented: "Love the candle and reed diffuser in this range..smell amazing."

Another added: ''We now swear by the Aldi dupes after my boyfriend moaning at me for stealing his Jo malone scents for everyday use…

''The pomegranate one still lingers on him when he gets home from work.''

The Lime, Basil and Mandarin perfume isn't the only one in the Aldi dupe range, as it also stocks Pomegranate, Peony Blush and Poppy, too.

Someone else commented on Caroline's post: ''I buy the pomegranate one and the peony blush and poppy ones too they smell so lovey and last all day long.

''I had it on for work one day and someone asked me if I were wearing Jo malone, so it must smell the same, they couldn’t believe it when I said it was the £6.99 dupe from Aldi.''

Aldi is known and loved for many other dupes of expensive brands, including one that is thought to be a dupe of the YSL fragrance Black Opium.

TikToker Shannon Spalding, 22, showed off the perfume on the social media platform, where she said: This right here is meant to be a dupe for Black Opium – it was £5.99.

“I have smelt Black Opium before so I feel like I’d be able to tell. I could drown my body in this, I personally feel like it smells similar.

“The perfume is amaze.”

Aldi is also popular for its range of Bonded haircare products, which some shoppers believe to be a dupe of Olaplex, which costs almost £50 for the shampoo and conditioner duo, and closer to £90 if you include the pre-wash treatment.
