Bake Off winner Syabira’s cosy London home she shares with boyfriend Bradley

The Great British Bake Off contestant Syabira was crowned as the winner of the show on Tuesday 15 November after a chaotic show final.

Syabira, 32, was born in Malaysia and is one of seven children. She moved to the UK in 2013 to study for her PhD and is now a Cardiovascular Research Associate in London where she lives with her boyfriend Bradley.

Syabira,, who won star baker three times in the competition, started baking fairly recently in 2017. This was the year she attempted a red velvet cake, which reminded her of the treats she shared with her friends back home.

From that moment Syabira fell in love with baking. She has previously said she likes to make British classics with a Malaysian flavour twist.

She also loves gaming and plays an online World War II strategy simulation, which she credits with teaching her about leadership in the real world.

Syabira has shared snaps of her cosy London apartment that she shares with boyfriend Bradley ahead of the highly anticipated GBBO final that airs tonight.

From snaps we can see in her kitchen she has accents of sage green, including a wall painted that colour as well as a matching small counter bar with a two person leather seat.

Syabira likes to display her cakes on this counter in cake stands like the chocolate cake she made for Bradley’s birthday. On Instagram she said: “I want to share my latest humble choc cake creations for my beloved soulmate. Love the sable crunch of this cake! Complimenting the soft sponge and chocolate custard layers”.

Her kitchen has cream walls and white tiling. Syabira has an extractor fan above her gas oven to help her with her baking. She also keeps storage organisers on her counter so she can easily access baking ingredients.

Syabira keeps extra cooking and baking appliances and tools in different place around her kitchen, like different size sieves she has hanging from the handles of her white cupboards.

She keeps her special Malaysian spices easily reachable in an overhead storage cupboard in her kitchen.

Syabira has an open plan kitchen and dining room. She currently has a butterfly pattern table cloth on her dining table and her dining room is complete with wooden flooring.

Following this style, Syabira has floral decorated plate sets to match her butterfly patterned tablecloth. When displaying her red velvet cake on Instagram she said: “Food always brings good memories and for me, a red velvet cake with friends before I move to England”

Syabira’s cosy living room has a shag blue rug on top of a grey carpeted floor. She has a black clock above a large flat screen TV.

In her living room Syabira has floor length white mesh curtains and she keeps plants by her window above her radiator. She has also decorated her window sills with cream coloured fairy lights.
