BBC Strictly Come Dancing star Layton Williams’ luxury London pad with zen snug area
Strictly Come Dancing 's Layton Williams became a London homeowner last year and has been putting his stamp on the place ever since.
The 29 year old actor, known for his role of Stephen Carmichael in Bad Education and his work in the West End theatre, has been renovating the property since he bought it in September 2022 and has been keeping fans updated on the progress. Pictures he has shared of the pad show it has a snug area, colourful wall prints and huge bay windows.
Layton, whose first acting job was aged 12 playing the title role in Billy Elliot the Musical in the West End, has previously posted about how he renovated the snug area for when he wants to relax. He has decorated the zone with pink cushions while a sign that says ‘Dancing’ has been hung on the wall above.
Posting to his Instagram page about the space, Layton said: "I designed this cute lil snug area for some zen. It's the perfect length for me to lay back, pop my feet on the radiator (@bestheatinguk) and chill."
Meanwhile, pictures of his kitchen show it has multiple wooden shelves covered in decorative vases and plants – while also featuring a red statement light along with a matching bin. He has also made sure to keep original features in his home, such as the black fireplaces, which he has decorated with house plants and candles.
Above the fireplace he has a big tomato print to add some more colour to the room.
The actor has also given a sneak peek into his bedroom after being given a bed by Simba Sleep. He has built his own white wardrobes with shelves alongside to store all of his clothes and accessories.
There is also a quirky white light hanging above the bed and a sign above that reads "dancing queen".
It comes as Layton competes in this year’s Strictly Come Dancing alongside his professional partner Nikita Kuzmin. The pair are still in the competition after surviving the dance off last weekend against TV presenter Angela Scanlon and her pro partner Carlos Gu.
Meanwhile, earlier this week Layton sent fans into a frenzy as he introduced his secret boyfriend on Instagram. The West End star, who had previously hinted at a new romance, shared a full glimpse of his deli-owner beau as they celebrated his birthday.
Layton revealed that he and his boyfriend first met at Glastonbury and, for his partner's birthday, the Strictly favourite treated him to a luxury spa day. He posted a couple of photos with his boyfriend to celebrate their relationship and his special day.
One photo showed the happy couple at the 2023 Glastonbury Festival, while another captured them relaxing in a huge bath at the AIRE Ancient Baths in Covent Garden, London. Layton captioned the post: "Birthday boy… How it started vs How it's going."
In the past, Layton had mentioned being in a relationship but kept his boyfriend's identity under wraps and recently told Alan Carr's Life's a Beach podcast, "I've got a man, you know, it's new though, it's only been a soft launch on Instagram," hinting that he had shared sneak peeks of his partner on his social media feed.
However, Layton didn't tag his partner or name him in his posts this week and referenced this himself as he shared another snap on Stories with a caption stating: "Happy Birthday to my fave! #HardLaunch But no @ coz y'all are too [nosey]."
