B&M shopper left in stitches after spotting rude spelling fail on Christmas dec

Now as Halloween is over, it's safe to say that Christmas is well and truly on the way.

Festive fans are already getting into the spirit by shopping for the occasion. Now one shopper was left mortified after a recent trip to B&M Stores.

Vickie Green stumbled across a major flaw when she was passing the seasonal aisle in B&M. She saw the ornament in the store a year ago and couldn't believe her eyes over the spelling fail.

She then posted in on Facebook and it's since resurfaced online again. The store's "Family Block Sign" spelled out "family" but some of the letters made it look ruder than intended.

It cost £6 at the time and the cheery Christmas ornament left Vickie in stitches. She wrote: "Don't think B&M thought this out properly."

The item is decorated with a Christmas hat, baubles and Reindeer's nose. These additional decorations replace the A, I and Y in "family" which looked like a ruder well-known acronym.

In the comments section of the viral post, one wrote: "I'm definitely getting one ladies, I won't lie – I think it's my most typed phrased in WhatsApp."

Another added: "To me, 'Family' and 'FML' are one and the same." A third person said: "I was stood in B&M trying to work it out… all I can see is FML."

Daily Star contacted B&M for comment.

In other news, Home Bargains revealed the touching reason behind it selling Christmas decorations in August. Despite it being months before the big day, the retailer starts early.

It hopes this will give customers more time to get prepared for December 25 – especially as budgets are tight for many of us at the moment.

And some shoppers are chuffed they've been able to get into the festive spirit early. One responder gushed: "I'm so going. I can't wait. Already started buying stuff."
