In the realm of footwear, there’s one brand that always sparks debate: Crocs.
While some adore them for their comfort and adaptability, others can’t bear their chunky, rubbery aesthetic.
Nevertheless, the American footwear company has announced it is now broadening its collection to include boots – and they’re guaranteed to divide opinion.
The shiny new silhouette is crafted from a distinctive Crocskin texture that retains signature perforations for breathability.
It also features Western-inspired embroidery, including the iconic Crocs logo.

The shin-high design comes with a spinning spur on the back as well as two Jibbitz charms, including a golden Croc Star Jibbitz charm and 2023 Cowboy Duke Jibbitz.
Fans can prepare to embrace their inner cowboy in the Classic Cowboy Boot, launching exclusively online on 23 October for $120.
Perhaps unsurprisingly, the divisive boots have received mixed reviews on social media.
Commenting on the brand’s Instagram post, one follower said: ‘Please tell me I can just purchase these and it won’t be an EQL draw.’
While another responded: ‘I need them!!!!’
A further user admitted: ‘I can’t believe I’m saying this but why do I kinda like these?’
Those who were less impressed also shared their opinions, with one writing: ‘Y’all need to be stopped!’
Someone else claimed: ‘I’ve reported this post… sorry bud.’

The announcement comes after Crocs unveiled its ogre-inspired shoe in collaboration with Shrek.
Each pair features Shrek’s iconic nose, ears fixed to the upper and green speckled skin, bringing the character to life.
Crocs was founded by three friends from Colorado: Scott Seamans, Lyndon ‘Duke’ Hanson and George Boedecker.
The trio were on a Caribbean sailing holiday in the early 2000s when they discovered a boating shoe made out of a foamy material called Croslite.
They had never seen footwear like it: lightweight, shock-absorbent, easy to clean, comfy, durable, slip-resistant and buoyant. So they bought the rights to Croslite technology and started making Crocs.
In 2002, the friends sold 200 pairs – then marketed as sailing shoes – for £23 each at the Fort Lauderdale Boat Show in Florida.
Supremely comfortable, Crocs sold especially well among people who worked on their feet, such as nurses, doctors, chefs and cleaners.
The company plodded along happily for a while then, during the financial crisis of 2007, almost went bankrupt. By 2017, the three founders had left and former banker Andrew Rees took over as CEO.
Today, Crocs has 340 shops, sells in 90 countries and employs 6,680 people.
