Demi Jones, who appeared on the winter version of Love Island in 2020, bravely stepped out this week after announcing she has been diagnosed with thyroid cancer.
The former Love Island star opted for a white bodycon dress from her edit with Missguided to speak to Susanna Reid and Bill Turnbull on Good Morning Britain – and she looked as stunning as ever to discuss her diagnosis.
The 22 year old took to Instagram to share with her fans her cute look before appearing on the hit morning TV show in her chic look, writing: “Thank you Good Morning Britain for having me in this morning to talk about my Thyroid cancer and to help raise awareness – wearing my Misguided edit.”
Her friends and fellow former Love Islanders were quick to post their words of encouragement, with Shaughna Phillips writing: “Absolutely smashed it my darling”, Yewande added: “such an inspiration” and Eve Gale stating: “So so beautiful love you”.

Whilst speaking to Susanna and Bill, Demi sadly revealed that she was originally meant to be seen by doctors last September, but due to Covid it was pushed back – meaning her diagnosis could have been spotted a lot sooner.
The star said: "every single month it kept getting cancelled…I eventually got seen in April and when I was seen I had my blood tests and ultra sounds and both came back absolutely fine so I pushed for more tests and eventually it came back as cancerous."
Demi is encouraging people to push for tests and appointments, in hope of avoiding a situation like hers.
