Dunelm shoppers rushing to buy 'life saver' winter gadget to avoid putting the heating on that costs just 3p to run | The Sun
DUNELM shoppers can't get enough of a winter gadget that costs just 3p to run and saves you switching on the radiator.
The heated ladder airer will set shoppers back £40 and stops you from having to whack on the central heating to dry any clothes.
The appliance comes with a 4.1 out of 5 star rating on the retailer's website and plenty of five star reviews.
One shopper said: "This little heated rail was a life saver last winter for towels, clothes etc when I was avoiding having the tumble dryer going. And it costs very little to run."
A second said: "A compact and sturdy airer. It warms up quickly and tucks away when not in use."
Meanwhile, a third added: "Does just what we bought it for – to air towels in those spring and autumn periods when radiators are not on and bath/shower towels don’t dry well enough."

You can find your nearest Dunelm store by using the store locator on its website.
Of course, you should always shop around when buying an item like this.
Just because Dunelm is selling one for £40 that doesn't mean you can't find a similar-style model for less.

How else to save money on energy bills
It's worth turning your thermostat down a notch if it's too high as that could save you some money on your bills.
Meanwhile, try bleeding your radiators as that will make your central heating system run more smoothly and efficiently.
If you're using old halogen light bulbs throughout the house, try switching to LED and that could save you £55 a year.
You might be able to get direct energy bill support too, through the Household Support Fund.
The latest round of funding is worth £842million and has been shared between local councils in England.
Some are handing out their share as energy vouchers. You should get in touch with yours to see what help is on offer.
