EastEnders Nadine star Jazzy Phoenixs life off screen as she cosies up to Jamie Borthwick

Jazzy Phoenix is one of Albert Square's latest additions. The 23 year old actor first landed in Walford on Monday September 18 as sex worker Nadine, when Jamie Borthwick's character Jay Brown thought he saw his late wife Lola Pearce. In reality, Nadine just bore a striking resemblance to the former EastEnders resident.

Since Jazzy's debut on the soap, her storylines have revolved mostly around a grieving Jay, who is clearly not coping well following Lola's death earlier this year from a brain tumour. From paying Nadine to sleep next to him (viewers have seen Jay suffering from insomnia in recent weeks) to going on to buy drugs and paying for sex with her, Jazzy's character has clearly reeled Jay in.

But while fans are just getting to know Nadine, away from the cameras – and the BBC One soap – Jazzy's life is completely different from that of her character.

Jazzy has been an actor for years

Before landing her role in EastEnders, Jazzy had already been quite successful in the acting world.

According to the Mandy Network, which houses her credits and an 'About Me' section, the star has been acting for five years and specialises in "screen acting and Musical Theatre."

Jazzy also describes herself as "a vibrant yet grounded presence on screen" with an "ability to access emotions quickly and truthfully."

In terms of her credits, the actor has a string of projects to her name, including Mamma Mia, Phantom Of the Opera, A Midsummer Nights Dream and Alice In Wonderland productions.

Jazzy used to live in New Zealand

As per Jazzy's profile, the star revealed she recently relocated back to the UK from the Oceania country, and while there, picked up the Maori language.

Jazzy has many hidden talents

Thanks to her Instagram – where she boasts 10K followers – it's clear to see that Jazzy is very much into fitness. It looks as though the 23 year old stays fit through pole dancing, with her sharing plenty of content to her gram.

One video shows Jazzy and her two mates performing a routine together on the pole, and honestly, we are so impressed.

Many EastEnders fans have been speculating that Jazzy and Jamie may be in the early stages of dating, thanks to a few different Instagram posts of the two together.

Jazzy posted one video of the pair last month hugging outside the Queen Vic, which led to plenty of people commenting on the suspected romance. "This is the cutest," one person typed, as a second penned: "We love you both so much."

Jamie also posted a lift selfie of the two to his stories recently, in which Jazzy's head was rested on his shoulder. Could there be a potential off screen romance about to make its debut, too?
