I won TWO lottery jackpots after my husband left me for my best friend – then I got a really cheeky phone call | The Sun

A WOMAN whose husband ditched her for her best friend had the last laugh when she scooped the lotto jackpot TWICE.

The anonymous winner from Barranquilla, Colombia, came out on top following the double betrayal.

She explained she was about to lose her home after becoming a single parent in wake of the split from her unfaithful spouse.

A year before her big win, her husband had left her for her best pal with a huge mortgage on her home to fork out for.

The skint mum had spent all her savings from her job as a seamstress on the property and ended up defaulting on her loan payments.

She was also unable to stump up the cash for the latest installment of her daughter's tuition fees.

I won £10m on the lottery & gave my ex-wife a fortune… now I’m skint

I thought I’d won £3,000 – but then the shop worker told me my REAL prize

Their money woes meant the child was unable to enroll in her accounting course this semester at the private university she attends.

The pair's home was just days away from being put up for auction when the woman's luck finally turned around.

She purchased a lotto ticket on January 17 – a year to the day that she had been left high and dry by her ex-husband.

It seems she was owed some good karma, as she incredibly won two lottery jackpots with her tickets.

Her numbers matched the winning digits in two different lottery draws – seeing her bank a whopping £268,000.

She told how she was left "trembling" when she discovered she had scooped the eye-watering sum.

The extraordinary figure makes her one of Colombia's biggest-ever lottery winners – in the country where the average salary is estimated to be £800 a month.

Reports claim it is also the largest sum ever claimed on 'The Double Chance Millionaire' game she entered.

Unbelievably, the woman revealed her former husband was the first person to call her after news of her win spread.

Although she may have feared he was cheekily vying for some cash, he said he simply rang "to congratulate her".

We previously told how a dad who won £5million on the lotto with his wife dumped her after meeting another woman.
