Don’t make your waitress mad! Here’s what NOT to do while dining
- Interrupt them
- Ask them for something while they are busy
- Say your order too quickly
- Refuse to take no for an answer
- Tell them your food was bad, despite finishing it all
- Order something that isn’t on the menu
She captioned the video: ‘What servers really want to say, but we’ll never say.’
The TikToker reenacted her patron’s pet peeves in a skit.
She revealed some of her biggest pet peeves were customers who spew their orders out too quickly, interrupt her when she is busy, and refuse to believe her when she says an item isn’t available.
The video began with the server walking past some tables carrying a tray filled with cups.
A patron then called out to her and said: ‘Hi, I’m ready to order.’
The waitress responded: ‘Yeah, let me just take your order while I’m holding a tray full of f***ing drinks.’
Next, the clip cuts to the server delivering three plates filled with food to a table, before being hounded by a diner about where their food was.
‘Okay guys, well, I have your salmon, a burger, and your -,’ she said before being cut off by a customer.
‘Where’s the pasta? The pasta we ordered?’ the diner asked.
The content creator and waitress responded: ‘I have three f***ing plates in my hand. That is in the kitchen; give me a second.’
In another shot, the server is shown standing next to a table ready to take a customer’s order.
However, the encounter quickly takes a turn when the diner refuses to take no for an answer.

‘Can I have oysters?’ the customer questioned, to which the waitress said, ‘So we actually don’t have oysters here.’
However, the patron didn’t seem to believe this could be true, adding: ‘Are you sure? You really don’t have oysters?’
“Can I have oysters?” the customer asks, to which the server responds, “So we actually … don’t have oysters here.”
‘I’m not gonna say it again. I work here. We don’t have oysters. You asking me twice is not gonna make us have oysters. We don’t have oysters,’ the waitress responded.
The content creator is then seen reenacting another ordering scenario that frustrates her.
As she took orders, one customer said: ‘Can I do truffle fries—keep the truffle—with a house salad, no onion? I’ll also take the bacon cheeseburger, no tomatoes.’
The server then cut her off and added: ‘OK, babe, babe, babe, slow down. Like, I can’t type all of this in that fast.’
BUT we’ll neverrrr say it! 🏾🏾🏾 #serverlife #serverproblems #bartending #bartendersoftiktok #DTLA #bartender

Other servers flocked to the comments to agree with the waitress, and share their own pet peeves.
‘As a former waitress I agree. I hated when people ordered things that weren’t listed on the menu and say that they had it last time they were there,’ one person wrote.
Another user added: ‘When they ask for straws as soon as the cup hits the table, like give a second.’
‘Or when it’s a big group of people and they all ignore you,’ said someone else.
Another person commented: ‘Or when you bring out food and everyone magically forgets what they ordered, like be for real.’
‘Thank you for representing our suppressed anger,’ added another user.
