DEAR DEIDRE: I KISSED my best friend’s partner and now I feel so guilty that I might have ruined their relationship.
Me and my friend are women of 26.

A group of us met for a socially distanced drink last weekend but I had too much alcohol.
I went to the pub cloakroom and bumped into her boyfriend.
He put his arm around me, pulled me to him, and we kissed, just as two of our friends walked by and saw us.
My friend hasn’t contacted me since. I want to talk to her about it but I know it might make things worse.
DEIDRE SAYS: Kissing is not socially distanced but don’t take all the blame.
Your friend’s partner instigated the kiss. It was a mistake but it is only likely to spell the end of their relationship if it was already in crisis.
To help you feel better, reach out to your friend and apologise, but accept she may not want to hear your side right now.
