Inside Princess Eugenies new life in Portugal including luxury resort

Princess Eugenie and her husband Jack Brooksbank have a new life in Portugal after the family of three moved abroad for Jack's job.

Together with their one-year-old son August, the trio will reportedly split their time between a luxury resort just south of Lisbon and a house on the Windsor estate in London.

They recently gave up their lease on Frogmore Cottage, which Harry and Meghan Markle have just renewed as their UK home despite living in California, reports The Sun.

As you might expect after such a big purchase, speculation that the controversial couple might be spending more time in Britain has already began to circulate.

But that aside, we're focusing on the youngest of the royal York sisters, Eugenie, and take a look inside her life abroad…

New home

Jack has reportedly landed a new job with a multi-millionaire property tycoon Mike Meldman, a businessman who is friends with George Clooney.

The move means Jack can be closer to the action as he works in the sales and marketing department, as well as the promotion for a private resort being developed by Mr Meldman's Discovery Land Company.

The resort is currently being developed, with the aim of erecting around 300 houses, a beachfront, a golf course, a spa and an equestrian centre in the first phase alone.

Their home in Portugal is thought to be at the CostaTerra Golf and Ocean Club on the Portuguese coast, a 722-acre plot in "breathtaking countryside" between the villages of Comporta and Melides, according to the CostaTerra website.

It "offers a wide range of real estate options, from large estate homesites to contemporary coastal villas, turnkey club residences and custom luxury homes".

The website adds: "The combination of our unmatched environmentally thoughtful setting, family-focused experience-based lifestyle, and true exclusivity, make ownership here one of the rarest opportunities in Europe."

Mr Meldrum, who is developing the resort is said to own many other high-end estates like this in the US, Europe and the Caribbean.

Prior to landing his big new role, Jack still worked for Mr Meldman but instead for his tequila brand Casamigos, which was joint owned by George Clooney and Randy Gerber, the husband of supermodel Cindy Crawford.

It is now owned by drinks giant Diageo.

A source told the Telegraph: "Jack is now working for Mike Meldman and they are splitting their time between Portugal and London.

“It’s a very exciting time for them."

London home

But as the pair will be travelling back and forth between Portugal and the UK, they will be retaining a base in London.

They are reportedly using Ivy Cottage at Kensington Palace – where they lived once before – after giving up the lease on Frogmore Cottage.

A source told The Sun: "They have a firm presence smack bang in the middle of the Windsor court where it’s all happening.

"They can now come and go any time they please.”

Eugenie's cousin Prince William, his wife Kate and their three children also live on the palace complex.

The news comes as the Queen arrives back at Windsor Castle from Scotland ahead of the four day Platinum Jubilee celebrations.

The Queen has spent the last few days at her Scottish home Balmoral, said to be one of her favourite places to visit, as staff busy themselves with preparations.
