Love Islands Lana’s cowgirl tattoo and other inkings as its given cheeky meaning

Love Island newbie Lara Jenkins revealed the cheeky joke her friends have about her arm tattoo.

The winter Love Island series kicked off last night and we finally got to meet the 10 new islanders who are looking to find love in South Africa.

Bubbly celebrity make-up artist Lana, who is 25, was the third girl to make her entrance into the villa – choosing to couple up with financial adviser Essex lad Ron.

The pair got off to a good start, with sparks seemingly flying when they went for a chat together on the sofas.

In her promo video, Lana revealed that she’s fluent Spanish and likes to use it to impress guys on a night out.

The Luton beauty also showed off one of her delicate fine-line tattoos, a cowboy hat on the back of her arm.

She joked: “I’ve got a cowboy hat on the back of my arm. Everybody kept saying that’s because I like reverse cowgirl”.

As she sat talking to Ron in a stunning light blue bikini, more of her inkings were on display including a bunch of roses that she had tattooed on the inside of her left arm.

Her Instagram also reveals that the star's been inked a few times – including another at the side of her ribs.

The tattoo is slightly thicker than the others and is made up of a couple of lines in the shape of a tall giraffe.

One of Lana’s friends commented: “I see you Mr Giraffe,” and she replied: “I see you”.

She isn’t the only islander to be showing off her tattoos on telly this year.

Farmer Will Young was maybe a little too honest when he went for a chat with Olivia Hawkins for the first time last night and showed off his tattoo dedicated an ex-lover.

The 23-year-old TikTok influencer had only just coupled up with 27-year-old ring girl Olivia when he made the bombshell revelation.

Will admitted he had a small tattoo and processed to show her a tiny letter ‘P’ he had inked on his ankle.

Actress Olivia asked him: “Is that a girls initial?” Before Will admitted: “Yeah, that I met on holiday,” adding that he didn’t want to start the relationship off with a lie.

Fans were quick to race to Twitter, with one writing: “Tattoo with another girls initial? Absolutely not.”
