Mars recalls popular chocolates after they’re deemed ‘unsafe to eat’
December has arrived, Christmas is getting close and we're all tucking into a bit more chocolate than normal.
But, before you dive into your favourite sweet treats, you should check the packets. This is because Mars Wrigley UK has warned anyone whose recently bought Revels to think before eating them.
The popular chocolate mixture that includes cocoa-coated raisin, orange, coffee, Malteser, chocolate and toffee-filled balls could be "unsafe to eat", according to the Food Standards Agency (FSA). Revels More to Share, Revels Pouch and Revels Treat Bags have all been included in the food recall.

A statement from the company read: "Mars Wrigley UK is taking the precautionary step of recalling a limited number of Revels 205g More to Share, Revels 112g Pouch, and Revels 71g Treat Bag in the UK with the specific best-before dates due to the potential presence of very small pieces of rubber."
Customers in England, Scotland and Wales who recently snapped up the chocolates have been urged not to eat them. If you've picked any up ahead of the festive season, be sure to check the packets first.
It's always better to be safe than sorry, so make sure you take a look before you tuck into the tasty treats.
