Harry and Meghan donned beaming smiles as they rubbed shoulders with Team Canada’s competitors at the Invictus Games, founded by the dashing Duke himself.
The power couple attended the Team Canada reception at the Hilton Hotel Dusseldorf, Germany today – demonstrating their hosting prowess as the dazzling duo made their rounds greeting guests and athletes.
Meghan, 42, had previously lived in Toronto for seven years while filming hit series Suits, based in Manhattan about the high-flying lives of corporate lawyers.
The duchess said in 2015: ‘It’s really funny because I think as much of a big city as Toronto is, it’s so different from LA or New York. There [are] no paparazzi so it’s really easy to just have a normal life,’ according to the Evening Standard.
Canada has been a special place for the Sussexes, who had previously made their base in Vancouver Island, located on Canada’s southwestern coast in the province of British Columbia, following their bombshell decision to step down as senior royals.
The pair left Canada for good to set up a permanent home in Los Angeles, to be closer to their ‘their new team of Hollywood agents and PRs’ as well as Meghan’s friends and mother Doria, a source told The Sun.

The glamorous couple were seen deep in conversation and sharing jokes with guests, demonstrating their united front.
The prince even took the opportunity to give a Canadian shirt a strong sniff, perhaps to take in the whiff of a victory that could be in sight for the Canadian team.
Harry was pictured looking very pleased with the gifted red, lumber-jack style shirt which featured an embroidered maple leaf – the nation’s iconic emblem – on the back.

The couple also made their first public appearance in Canada, at the Invictus Games in 2017 and spent their first Christmas with their son, Archie Harrison Mountbatten-Windsor, in a luxurious house on Vancouver Island.
Although the couple were not seated together for the 2017 games at the Air Canada Centre in Toronto, Meghan was sat just a few feet away from the Queen’s grandson, who was accompanied by US First Lady at the time, Melania Trump.
Wearing a purple dress and a matching $690 Mackage leather jacket slung over her shoulders, Meghan was escorted by her close friend Markus Anderson who introduced her to Prince Harry the previous year.
Earlier today, Meghan got into the spirit of the Invictus Games as she gleefully posed for selfies with fans outside the Merkur Spiel-Arena in Dusseldorf.
The mother-of-two, 42, beamed as she chatted to delighted crowds waiting to catch a glimpse of the Duke and Duchess of Sussex.
Meghan seemed more than happy to grant selfie requests from eager fans – including one group of women who urged the stylish Duchess to pose for their photo.
Yesterday, Harry and Meghan were spotted in animated conversation as they sat down to support disabled and wounded military veterans playing a volleyball match at the Invictus Games in Germany.

The couple cheered on the teams, took selfies with supporters and were seen affectionately laughing with each other as they watched Nigeria play Ukraine.
During the game, Meghan asked Harry about the tournament rules, adding that it was a ‘good’ and ‘crazy’ match for spectators, according to MailOnline’s expert lipreader.
According to the lip reader, the Duke and Duchess of Sussex spoke about the rules of the game and how teams progress to the next level.
In a heartwarming moment, leaning into Harry’s ear, Meghan looked towards the game as she asked questions about the ‘teams’ that were playing in the Merkur Spiel-Arena in Dusseldorf.
The Duke, while moving his hands and fingers as though he was drawing a box, seemed to explain how teams move up through the tournament.
He told Meghan that competitors ‘all these matches play in a different way’ and they play ‘quarter final, quarter finals, semifinals, finals’ to which Meghan replied ‘ah I see’.
Harry then added: ‘So they all play different levels.’
The Duke, who turned 39 today, celebrated his birthday yesterday at Dusseldorf’s Old Town and was spotted tucking into plates of Bratwurst, sausage, Wiener Schnitzel, red cabbage and mashed potato, as he dined with his wife and a dozen aides at a German beer house last night.
The pair were seen laughing and joking at the Im Goldenen Kessel restaurant as the food arrived.

The schism between Prince Harry and the rest of the Royal Family was laid bare today after the Palace appeared to snub the Duke of Sussex’s birthday celebrations by failing to publicly acknowledge his 39th.
As athletes at the Invictus Games in Germany serenaded the prince with renditions of ‘Happy Birthday’ and inundated him with gifts – good wishes were notably absent from the monarchy’s official social media accounts.
The palace’s official social media accounts instead spent all day posting about King Charles, Prince William, Princess Kate, and Sophie, Duchess of Edinburgh – without mentioning Prince Harry once.
The Mail also understands that Harry, accompanied by his wife, Meghan, will fly back to the US this weekend without seeing his estranged family.
King Charles will be in Scotland and there are no plans for the couple to join him. Prince William hasn’t spoken to his estranged brother for many months.

The Duke of Sussex also failed to visit his family during his stop-over in the UK en route to the Invictus Games in Dusseldorf, when he stayed overnight in Britain to attend a charity event.
The following morning Prince harry visited Queen Elizabeth’s grave at Windsor alone on the first anniversary of his grandmother’s death.
Buckingham Palace has indicated that the Royal Family now only sends public birthday wishes to those who are senior working members.
The Invictus Games, which is one of the biggest projects Prince Harry has continued since his departure from the Royal Family, marks the couple’s first public engagement together since May.
Meghan flew out to meet her husband in Germany on Wednesday, two weeks after they were last pictured together at a Beyoncé concert in California, where Harry appeared bored and looked at his phone.
This week, however, the couple have continuously put on huge displays of flirting and affection as they attended matches and spoke with members of the military.
The loved up exchanges follows speculation about their future in Hollywood and rumoured strains of their relationship behind the scenes after it emerged Meghan had taken off her wedding ring.
But friends revealed this was simply because a setting had become loose.
