A photograph of a group of male friends enjoying a club night in Ibiza has caused a sensation online – with many calling it ‘hilarious.’
Earlier this week, a young man, who goes by the name of @CartzT30 on X, formerly known as Twitter, shared a picture of him with four friends at a club in Ibiza online, and inadvertently created a meme worthy of internet fame.
Having received over seven million views in two days, the picture is making a storm on social media, and users are finding it hilarious.
Many are comparing it to the ‘four lads in jeans’ meme, which shot to internet fame in 2019, and was even honoured with a statue.
Jamie Philips, Connor Humpage, Kevin Rooney, and Alex Lacey took an innocent group photo on a night out in 2019, wearing tight denim jeans and standing side-by-side – but they were ribbed for being ‘stereotypically British’ and their photo went viral.

Cartz captioned the photograph: ‘Last night was eventful to say the least #ibiza #ibizarocks #benhemsley’
Both photographs shared a group of men enjoying a night out, in a typically laddish fashion.
In the new meme, which was shared by a man who goes by Cartz on Twitter, a group of men pose for the camera with their tops off and bum bags strapped around their chests.
For many viewers, the spotlight is on one of the haircut choices, with the man on the far right particularly causing a stir.
The post, which was captioned: ‘Last night was eventful to say the least #ibiza #ibizarocks #benhemsley,’ gained over seven million views in just two days.
Hundreds of people have flocked to the comment section to share their thoughts on the photograph.
While many offered light-hearted comments, some ‘roasted’ the outfit choices.
One user said: ‘The little fella on the right, did his mum cut his hair with a knife and fork?’
A second added: ‘Nah wait why are y’all getting roasted so hard.’
Hundreds of users flocked to the comments to share their thoughts on the photograph, and many seemed to find it hilarious
A third wrote: ‘The handbags’ with laughing emojis.
A fourth said: ‘Fella on the right looks like he’s going to go to the bar and order a pint of mead.’
Cartz later responded to the replies. He said: ‘When you’re getting violated on Twitter, so you try to pack yourself away’ with a picture of him attempting to fit inside his suitcase.
Nonetheless he encouraged people to keep sharing their thoughts. He said: ‘Keep these comments coming we’re loving them, yet to see an a+ comment but there’s a few good ones.’
It’s unclear whether the lads in Ibiza will reach the level of internet fame as the ‘four lads in jeans meme,’ who were honoured with a statue.

The artist, known as Tat Vision, unveiled the artwork outside All Bar One in Grand Central, Birmingham, on Saturday 27 August 2022.
The sculptor said they made it from women mannequins in tight-clothing, with added papier-mâché and PVA glue, covered in bronze paint.
The ‘lads in jeans’ now have a verified Instagram profile, which has accumulated over 25,000 followers, where the group repost memes created by people online.
Cartz responded to the reaction from the photograph. He said: When you’re getting violated on Twitter so you try to pack yourself away’
Despite being ‘violated’, Cartz encouraged viewers to continue sharing their thoughts on the photograph
Since their rise to online meme status they have mixed with the stars.
Photos show them next to football legend Chris Kamara and bodybuilder Martyn Ford, and have been interviewed on BBC Radio 1 as well as Good Morning Britain.
The main meme, which dominated social media after going viral, was users attaching a photo of the group with a made-up ‘quote’, with something the user believed one of the lads would say.
