DEAR DEIDRE: SEX with my wife is very hit-and-miss, which leaves me feeling frustrated and that she’s pushing me away.
I am 33 and she is 31. We have been married for five years.

We’d like to try for a baby but she suffers from anxiety and depression – and her sex drive is low.
She rarely responds if I initiate sex.
I am starting to feel very rejected and now wonder whether we will ever start the family we long for.
But I can’t talk to my wife, as I feel she already has enough to cope with.
DEIDRE SAYS: Our sex drive can take a big hit from depression and the medication that is prescribed for it.
Start by checking with your wife whether she is as keen on having a baby now as you are.
Babies are demanding little beings. Maybe she feels she needs to get better first.
You should both talk to your doctor as some medication can make it harder to conceive or might not be suitable during pregnancy.
