New mum Ashley James raves about Sainsburys clothing collection with amazing maternity options

Ashley James has spoken about just how much her gorgeous new Tu clothing collection with Sainsbury's champions maternity wear.

The stunning new mum, 34, sat down for a chat with OK! and discussed the empowering new collection.

"I am very passionate about the postnatal journey so there are lots of lovely cosy bits for winter," she told us.

"The edit has a whole range of clothes suitable for maternity and breast feeding.

"I found during my pregnancy and even on my postnatal journey now it's very overwhelming finding clothes that fit, especially when your body is going through changes."

Ashley continued to tell us that her clothing range allows people to look and feel good, as well as be comfortable.

The gorgeous mum-of-one sat in a mustard yellow outfit with her hair in loose curls by her shoulders as she discussed the collection.

In some shots the star could be seen cradling her adorable son Alfie, who she welcomed 10 months ago with her boyfriend Tom Andrews.

Of the collection, Ashley continued: "Some pieces will be breastfeeding friendly and some will be bump-friendly. They're all amazing.

"It's so important to me to make other mums feel empowered throughout their journey."

The gorgeous collection boasts affordable fashion items, from cosy joggers to stunning jumpsuits.

There are also some lovely bits handpicked by Ashley for baby too.

Ashley was over the moon when she welcomed her son Alfie, but the radio presenter found people "celebrating" her weight loss shortly after she and Alfie contracted Covid-19, which saw her newborn being taken to hospital.

Ashley discussed feeling a "pressure" to snap back into shape after giving birth.

"I wouldn’t say from anyone in particular, but it does upset me that it seems to be the narrative around postnatal bodies," she said. "I had Covid-19 around a month ago and I lost weight as I was so ill.

"Alf was also ill and he ended up in hospital so that was obviously stressful and I wasn’t sleeping."

She added: "I was continuing to breastfeed while being ill which was a challenge, and people celebrated my weight loss as if it was an achievement.

"Sexiness and beauty is not one shape or size and it’s not about being the smallest version of yourself so you can be celebrated."

Tu Baby, Womenswear & Maternity is all available to purchase online at and in selected Sainsbury’s stores. Ashley James’ A/W Edit will be available to shop in November.
