Crack O’Latern! For years Instagram parents and mummy bloggers have been covering their babies’ bums with little pumpkins as an adorable way to get their babies in a festive spirit but now adults have joined the trend

The cheeky trend is believed to have been started in 2018, when Heather Irish Gooley from Maine, USA, went viral with a photo of herself posing with a pumpkin in a skimpy pair of underwear.

Speaking to her local radio station at the time, Heather said: ‘With so much negativity in the world right now, why not use a pumpkin to make a few laughs?” It just proves that you can take a look at something as silly as this picture, and still not even fully realise that someone else may have that laugh. 

Since, people have posed at home and in gardens across the world to show off their peachy exteriors in perfect autumnal style.

A gallery composed by comedy website Sad and Useless, shows Instagrammers sitting, squatting and standing in front of pumpkins, while others have taken to social media to share their own poses.
