People called me pizza face because of my birth mark – but Im proud of it
A woman who was called "pizza face" growing up has hit back at trolls in the best way.
Blogger Mik Zazon uses her platform to try and normalise bodies. She now has over 920,000 followers on Instagram, and people love the way she opens up about life.
The body positive babe recently got candid about her birth mark, and said people used to constantly make fun of her because of it. But in time she's learnt to embrace her skin, as she knows it's an important part of who she is.

After the torment she faced at school, Mik admitted she once tried to laser her skin to rid the birthmark that lies on her cheek. Now she's glad it didn't work, as she's learnt to love the "imperfection".
She's now proud to flaunt the red mark on her skin as she knows it's a part of who she is. No matter what other people say, she wants to love herself and the body she's in.
It may have taken time but now she's learnt to embrace it, and it's made her a life a lot better.
Writing on Instagram, Mik said: "Just because you look a little different, doesn’t mean you have to look like the people mostly shown in media. In elementary school I was made fun of for my birth mark.
"I got called pizza face, tomato face and other harmful names. So I tried to laser it away to make my appearance more comfortable for other people to look at so I was less of a target.
"I’m forever grateful that laser never ended up working. I wear my birthmark proudly. It makes me, me. Beauty standards change every day.
"One minute you are called beautiful being curvy, and the next you are told you aren’t taking care of your health. One minute you are praised for being thin, and the next someone is telling you to eat a cheeseburger.
"No matter what people say about you or me, our worth does not change when standards change. Our worth does not change when our bodies change. Our worth has always been and always will be the same.
"Beauty does not come from appearance. Rather, it comes from being you. So completely, uniquely, unapologetically you."
Since she shared the post more than 22,000 people have liked it, and her followers were quick to comment too. Her fans thanked her for being so authentic, and people described her birthmark as "cute".
One person said: "Your birthmark is gorgeous! I love the idea of having something marked on my body by birth! It tells a story of entering this world! And it reminds me of a dove."
Another added: "I love your birthmark. It adds to your beauty."
Meanwhile, a third also replied: "It’s like a heart. I absolutely love when people embrace their differences. It’s funny how if you try to hide it away, it looks one way and if you embrace it, people will wish they had one too."
