Prince Harry is using King Charles birthday for a ‘publicity stunt’ after being ‘snubbed’, royal expert reveals | The Sun
PRINCE Harry is using King Charles’ birthday as a “publicity stunt”, royal experts have claimed.
The Duke of Sussex last week claimed he did not receive an invitation to Charles’ 75th birthday party in Clarence House.
A spokesperson for the royal told the Messenger: "In response to UK media headlines, there has been no contact regarding an invitation to His Majesty’s upcoming birthday.”
But, this morning sources close to the duke told the BBC that Harry will be speaking to his father over the phone later today.
Royal biographer Angela Levin believes the back and forth about the invitation shows that Harry is using it as a “publicity stunt”.
Speaking to The Sun, she said: “The main question is: Why is he making a big hullabaloo by making his spokesperson say he was never invited and telling people that he will call Charles?

“He is trying to make himself out to be the bigger person.
“It is all just a big publicity stunt. If he really meant it he would do it quietly. That would be sincere.
“Although Meghan's new PR people don't look after Harry, they have been telling Meghan she has got to come across kinder.
“This is what this is – Harry acting to improve Meghan's image. The same with coming out saying they were invited in the first place."

Earlier this year the Duchess of Sussex joined WME, which boasts A-Listers Eddie Murphy, Gwen Stefani and Liam Payne on their books.
Ms Levin continued: “They say they're not looking at television and the press and they want privacy – but then they're stirring the narrative further by doing these things.
“They are quite literally keeping themselves in the news – and that is purposeful. They are saying 'here I am, the victim'.
“Harry knows he never needed an invite – he knows the door is open to him and it has been for years now.”
Harry is not thought to have any plans to visit the UK. His next trip abroad is expected to be to Canada to promote his Invictus Games.
Californian couple Harry and Meghan were both spotted at the final night of singer Katy Perry’s Las Vegas residency earlier this month.
Footage showed them arriving at the Resorts World Theatre, where they joined guests including singer Celine Dion in the VIP section.
It comes as relations between the Duke, King Charles III, and Prince William have been increasingly strained since the fallout from bombshells in his book Spare and his Netflix documentary.
Earlier this year, we revealed how Harry snubbed an offer to spend the anniversary of the Queen’s death at Balmoral in Scotland with his father and Queen Camilla.
And, the dad-of-two made only a fleeting visit to the King’s coronation in May, before rushing to fly back to Meghan.
