Rush-hour horror as man found knifed on bus after attack outside train station

A man has been found injured on a bus after a rush-hour stabbing in front of horrified commuters outside a London train station.

The victim was stabbed following a row outside Plumstead train station at 7.18am.

He then left the scene and got on a bus.

Police who had been called to the station following reports of an "altercation" found the injured man on a route 472 bus.

A spokesperson for the Metropolitan Police said: "Police were called at 7.18am on Friday November 8 to reports of an altercation outside Plumstead Station, Greenwich.

"Officers attended and received reports of an injured male who had left the scene on a bus.

"The injured male was located on a route 472 bus suffering from a stab wound.

"He was taken by London Ambulance Service to a south London hospital. We await an update on his condition.

"At this early stage there have been no arrests."
