Strictly’s Rose Ayling-Ellis looks very different with a goth glam beauty makeover

We’re so used to seeing Strictly Come Dancing champion Rose Ayling-Ellis with a low-key beauty look that it took us a few moments to recognise her in new snaps taken last night.

Rose stepped out for the Dungeons & Dragons: Honour Among Thieves film premiere in a mustardy green pair of leather trousers and a sheer blouse – a big change from her usual go-to ‘girl next door’ dresses – but it was really her make-up that gave her appearance a new look.

The former EastEnders actress usually opts for minimal make-up – when she’s not on stage, of course – but last night she opted for a heavy smoky eye featuring smudged black eyeliner on her upper and lower eyelids. She also swapped her go-to neutral lip shade for a deep crimson red, matched perfectly with the same shade of nail varnish she had on her nails.

As for Rose’s hair, she also traded in her signature structured waves for a crimped-like texture, which gave her tresses plenty of volume. Her overall look was very high-fashion, leading us to wonder if the Strictly star is entering a new style era. Rose has since posted a snap of the head-to-toe look on her Instagram grid, and fans have been quick to comment their praise on her updated image.

One says: “Love this style, you look fantastic, and love your hair the relaxed look,” while a second adds: “You look stunning! Your hair and clothes – you must have put everyone in the shade!”

A third simply states: “You look incredible”.

This isn’t Rose’s first style switch-up in recent months. Back in January, the 28 year old posted a snap of her new hairstyle to her 541K Instagram followers, captioning her post "New Year, New Fringe" with a scissors emoji.

The makeover saw Rose cut in a new curtain fringe, which gave her previous single-length style extra volume and texture. The look sent her followers wild as they gushed that the star looked "radiant" and "stunning".

One person wrote: "I don’t know how but you're more gorgeous than ever. You look radiant and really happy. This makes me happy."

Another said: "You are so beautiful, inside and out. Love your hair!", while a third commented: "Wow the fringe really suits you!".
