Miss Great Britain is introducing a new division of competitors this year.
The contest is encouraging ladies over the age of 40 to enter the pageant, which is now in its 76th year.
Plenty of stunning women have applied to the contest – including Debbie Hughes.
The 52-year-old granny of two little boys, from Staffordshire, has been offered a sought-after spot in the first ever Classic pageant.
She’s no stranger to getting competitive as she’s excelled in a male dominated industry.
Debbie works for Volvo as a product specialist but is willing to shake off her masculine role to glam up for the catwalk.
She will strut her stuff at the famous Miss Great Britain runway in Leicester later this year.
Debbie is excited for the opportunity as she’s been a pageant fan since the 80s.
She competed as a teen and has been following the competition ever since.
So it’s no surprise she jumped at the opportunity to apply to be as a finalist in the over 40s category.
Debbie’s request was accepted and now her loved ones are preparing to cheer her on.
Her daughter Heidi will be one of those watching at the sidelines.
She knows the competition well – having followed in her mum’s footsteps by competing at Miss Teen Great Britain.
If you want to join Debbie in the fight for the Miss Great Britain crown, you can apply now.
Applicants are asked to give their contact details and information about where they work.
They must also reveal their clothing measurements, hair and eye colour.
And finally, candidates are asked to write up to 255 words on their achievements, talents and ambitions.
