Telepool said Munich-based, US-born Bonney will lead the Global Screen TV distribution team and will also directly spearhead TV sales, especially to English speaking territories such as the UK, U.S. and Canada.

“We are very pleased that we have been able to recruit Brianne as the new Head of TV Sales for Global Screen,” said Telepool CEO Yoko Higuchi-Zitzmann.

“She will continue to expand global sales of TV and streaming programs. Our focus here is on growing international series and formats in both acquisition and sales.”

Bonney previously held senior sales positions at Bavaria Media International, Red Arrow International and Turkey’s Global Agency.

Her sales expertise covers all genres including TV series, both scripted and unscripted, entertainment and scripted formats and feature films.

Global Screen will be at Mipcom next month with a slate featuring spy drama Davos 1917, 1972 Munich Olympics terror attack documentary Munich ’72, popular series Seaside Crimes and dark comedy feature The Undertaker.

Weber took up the role Head of Sales and Acquisitions in January 2021, after previously heading up theatrical sales and distribution at Global Screen.

Munich-based Telepool, which is owned by Will and Jada Pinkett Smith’s Westbrook Inc. and an investor group led by director Marc Forster, praised Weber for her achievements at the company.

“With her talent, charisma and excellent taste for international titles, Julia Weber has successfully shaped Global Screen for many years and has represented the Telepool brand perfectly to all our partners around the world,” said Higuchi-Zitzmann.
