'Thank you' as Wilko employees issue heartfelt message to shoppers before closing after 25 years | The Sun
WILKO employees have issued a heartfelt message to shoppers before closing for good.
Workers at the Abergavenny branch posted a note to customers in the store window.
It comes after the retailer plunged into administration on August 10 resulting in all 400 Wilko stores set to close.
The message said: "Thank you for shopping with us for the last 25 years!
"Our store will sadly be closing on October 5.
"Thank you again from all the team members at Wilko Abergavenny."

Wilko was founded in 1930 and the chain has remained in the ownership of the founding family since then.
The founder’s son, Tony Wilkinson, joined the company as a branch manager in 1960 before succeeding his father as chairman in 1972.
In June 2005 he was succeeded by his daughter Lisa Wilkinson and his niece Karin Swann.
The retailer collapsed on August 10 and since then, several stores have already shut their doors with more to follow.
