Welcome to this month’s beauty box! It’s all about taking some well-deserved time for yourself so you’re feeling ready to bounce back when lockdown ends.
I know, it can’t come soon enough!
To help you get your best out of your box, I've put together this guide to what's inside. I know you’re going to love using your products.
First, there’s the Beauty Kitchen Konjac Sponge (£7.50 here) which is a brilliant all-natural cleansing sponge that will leave your skin smooth and glowing.
Made from pure plant roots, this natural beauty will exfoliate your skin as well as cleansing it, and it’s gentle enough to use every day. If you’ve been wanting to switch away from single-use wipes and pads, I think this is going to be the product that changes your regime for good.
All you have to do is soak it in warm water first until it softens and expands, then squeeze out the excess. You can use it with your usual cleanser, massaging it over your skin to sweep away muck and dead skin cells and leave your face feeling super-soft.

Here’s how to find your perfect perfume while stores are closed – and this idea makes a great Mother’s Day gift
Once you’ve finished with the sponge, just rinse it out, and hang it up by the handy string to dry. It should last you 2-3 months and after that it’s compostable, just like the packaging it comes in.
For a lovely DIY facial, I definitely recommend you combine your konjac sponge with its sister Beauty Kitchen product, the Abyssinian Oil Quick Fix Moisture Mask (£12.50 here).
If you’re in need of a quick fix, this hydrating mask is going to make a visible difference to your skin in just five minutes flat. Or if you want to linger in luxury, you can leave it on for longer because it’s such a nourishing and hydrating formula.
One thing I love about this mask is just how good it smells. It’s a real spa in a jar! Just smooth a thin layer over your face and neck, and enjoy the wildflower meadow fragrance.
When you’re finished with your facial, just massage it off with your damp konjac sponge so you get that extra exfoliation benefit too.
While we’re talking about feel-good fragrances, let’s move onto Aromatherapy Associates Revive Morning Bath & Shower Oil (full size £48 here). If anything is going to get your day off to a good start, it’s this energising blend.
To use it, just massage the oil over your skin before you go into the shower (and trust me, the scent will linger afterwards), or alternatively add it to your bath.
If you're able to find time for a nice soak in the tub, then make sure you bring Grow Gorgeous Intense Thickening Hair and Scalp Mask (full size £25 here) into the bathroom.

This is a real ten-minute treat for your hair, with benefits from roots to tips. Apply it on freshly washed hair, starting from your scalp and taking it through to the ends.
It’s a really clever treatment because it’s part skincare for your scalp and part nourishment for your lengths. Normally, putting a mask onto your roots would be guaranteed to weigh your hair down, but this one is perfect for fine hair as it actually increases volume instantly, with ingredients that physically fatten up your strands.
I’ve got fine hair and I can confirm it gives a definite boost!

These new feel-good floral fragrances are guaranteed to make you smile
The formula also contains caffeine to wake up your hair follicles, so do treat yourself to a DIY scalp massage. Then leave it on for 10 minutes so that the moisturising shea butter and coconut oil can really penetrate into your lengths to leave them shiny and soft.
This month’s box is all about top to toe pampering, and that’s why we’ve included the iconic L'Occitane Shea Butter Foot Cream (full size £21.50 here).
I don’t know about you, but my feet definitely ache when I’ve summoned up the willpower to go out for a five-mile lockdown walk! There’s nothing nicer than getting back home and putting my feet up after massaging in this soothing cream.
The moisturising formula also makes my feet look so much more presentable instantly, which is good news with sandal season approaching.
Finally, finish off your pampering with a little scent-sory journey. Your box contains Yardley’s Flowerful Collection Fragrance Discovery Kit, (full sizes £20 each here) which is the perfect way to play and spray – especially while perfume halls are closed.
The kit contains minis of all five scents in Yardley’s Flowerful collection, which taps straight into the “modern floral” trend.
Each edt takes a classic single note, and then reinvents it with a beautifully balanced blend of top and base notes. Yardley’s rose, for instance, isn’t just the petals but adds the crisp green-ness of the stem, along with lemon, white musk and amber.
I’ve also added Luxe Gardenia (think spring in a bottle) to my daytime fragrance wardrobe, and once we’re allowed back out into the world, I’ll be wearing Decadent Mimosa to the first sunny beer garden I can find!
I really hope you’ll enjoy discovering new favourites for yourself, as well as indulging in all the other self-care goodies in your beauty box.
So go on, make time for some me-time. You’ve earned it!
