  • A man has found an ingenious way to pick up hard boiled eggs without burning his fingers.

TikToker Sidney Raz posted the hack online, explaining that he had only discovered a "safe" way to pick eggs from hot water by using a simple kitchen tool.

"Here's something I didn't know until I was in my 30s. You can pick up hard boiled egg with a whisk," he shared to fans on his account.

He took out an egg whisker, which can be found from Amazon for as little as £1.94 or in homeware stores like John Lewis or IKEA.

Sidney said: "Alright, let's try this out. Whisk. Eggs.

The TikToker gently pushed the whisk on the egg and watched it slipped through the wires and trapped inside.

Sidney couldn't believe that the trick worked and said: "I picked up an egg with a whisk!

    "But what about two [eggs]?"

He cackled and paused to tell his wife: "Honey, I picked up two!"

A basic stainless steel egg whisk from Amazon costs about £1.94 and if you are looking for a good quality one, there are many more options within a £10 budget, like this OXO Good Grip Balloon Whisk for £7.99.

Others might prefer to use a slotted spoon or a ladle to pick up hard boiled eggs. John Lewis is selling a stainelss steel ladle for £6.

Gordon Ramsay revealed most people have been cracking their eggs wrong in a 2020 TikTok video with Jackass star Steve-O.

In the clip, he said: “Always crack it on a flat surface, it’s super important.”

A stunned Steve-O admitted he had "never heard" that tip before, as Gordon continued.

“Everybody else goes on the side, but what that does, it sends shell into the egg."

The informative clip was viewed more than 6.5 million times and viewers were appreciative of the tip.
