Zendaya is Tom Holland’s biggest fan.
The “Euphoria” actress gushed over her boyfriend for InStyle’s Best Dressed issue, telling the mag that there are “many things, obviously, that [she] appreciate[s]“ about the “Spider-Man: No Way Home” star.
“In an actor way, I appreciate that he really loves being Spider-Man,” Zendaya, 25, explained. “It’s a lot of pressure — you take on the role of a superhero wherever you go.”
She added, “To the little kid who walks by, you are Spider-Man. I think he handled that so well. And seeing him at work, even though he’s not a Virgo, he is a perfectionist.”
Zendaya said that director Jon Watts allowed her to come to set every day while filming, where she often marveled over Holland’s work ethic.
“It was cool to see how he cares so much about his work and making it right,” she said of Holland, also 25. “I watched him do a fight scene all day, which is exhausting. He’d do a move, come back to the monitors, watch it, and say, ‘I can do that better.’ I’d be like, ‘Dude, you got it.’ But he wants us to be perfect, and I really appreciate that.”
On a personal level, Zendaya noted that Holland is a “fun time.”
“Very charismatic, can make anybody feel comfortable and have a good laugh and a good chat,” she shared. “A good chat — I sound so British.”
The “Spider-Man” costars first popped up on each other’s social media feeds in 2016 after it was announced that they would be working together. They later confirmed romance rumors with a steamy makeout session in Holland’s car in July 2021.
Holland was also photographed leaving a residence with Zendaya and her mother, Claire Stoermer, at the time, causing fans to speculate that their relationship may be getting more serious.
One month later, the two were spotted having a date night at a friend’s wedding before Holland commemorated Zendaya’s birthday in September with a sweet message.
While fans will get to see their real-life romance play out onscreen in “Spider-Man: No Way Home,” premiering Dec. 17, Zendaya told InStyle that she “had no idea” that she would become a part of the franchise after seeing the movie “on [her] first date when [she] was 16.”
