5ive boyband heartthrob Ritchie Neville unrecognisable with tattoos 25 years on

Five singer Ritchie Neville looks unrecognisable after he dumped his trademark looks for tattoos and dark hair.

Ritchie, 43, enjoyed success and had several chart-topping hits at the height of the boyband's career in the 1990s.

The fan favourite was known by the group's legion of fans for his floppy, light brown hair and cheeky character, but he's now ditched this and made his look edgier, including a more bulked-up appearance.

He recently wrote on Instagram: "It’s been a long road back from lockdowns, eating and drinking too much.

"I guess low mood. Limbo. But six months ago I decided enough was enough, I hid the weight well but made a promise to exercise regularly and decided to share progress," adding: "Still some to go but I’m feeling better about myself."

Five, known as 5ive, who were formed in 1997, also consisted of Scott Robinson, Sean Conlon, J Brown and Abz Love, with their debut album topping the charts in 1998.

They released further albums in 1999 and 2001 before breaking-up in 2001 after four years together.

Scott, Richie, Sean and Abz reunited in 2012, with Abz leaving the band again in 2014, but the other three are still performing together, with their fourth album Time being released last month.

The band is known for songs such as Keep On Movin' and Everybody Get Up, with other singles including Let's Dance and a cover of Queen's We Will Rock You.

Ritchie started dating Atomic Kitten singer Natasha Hamilton in 2013. She gave birth to their daughter Ella Rose a year later, but the couple split in 2016.
