Bindi Irwin says she is ‘near halfway point’ of pregnancy as she strokes bump

Steve Irwin 's daughter Bindi Irwin has shared a wonderful pregnancy update with her fans, letting them know that she and husband Chandler Powell will be welcoming a baby girl in early 2021.

The 22-year-old mum-to-be announced she was pregnant earlier this year in August, five months after tying the knot to beau Chandler, also 22.

The couple's child will be the granddaughter to the late wildlife expert and much-loved TV conservationist Steve Irwin.

Bindi and Chandler's lovely wedding ceremony featured tributes to Steve, who died in 2006 from a stingray attack while filming.

Now, sharing a snap with Chandler, as well as a giraffe, Bindi wrote: "Baby bump is getting bigger! We're getting close to the halfway point and I think our Australia Zoo animal family is excited to meet our daughter next year.

"Shoutout to my little brother (who definitely isn't 'little' anymore) for being such an incredible friend," proud Bindi wrote.

"You're always there for me and I know you will be the best uncle when our baby girl is born. Love you."

Bindi and Chandler held up a mini version of their own zoo uniform when they first dropped their pregnancy bombshell.

She wrote: "Baby Wildlife Warrior due 2021.

"Chandler and I are proud to announce that we're expecting! It's an honour to share this special moment in our lives with you.

"Though I'm still in my first trimester, we really want you to be part of our journey from the beginning of this new life chapter.

"We couldn't wait to share the news as this beautiful little being has become the most important part of our lives.

"Your support means the world to us. Please let me know your best advice and send good vibes & prayers to our little sweetheart. Love & light."

And the baby's conservationist parents will be sure to teach her "the importance of protecting our planet and the beauty of the wildlife and wild places we love so much."
