Idina Menzel will take to the stage to entertain Strictly Come Dancing viewers during tonight’s results in celebration of Musicals Week. Earlier this week, the news was revealed, with what song the Frozen 2 actress will be performing being kept under wraps for a “surprise”. The appearance comes after the Elsa star recently reunited with on of her fellow Frozen cast members for a very special project.
Menzel has released a brand new album, Christmas: A Season of Love, boasting a blend of classics and original festive songs.
One in particular, We Wish You The Merriest, sees her once again working with Frozen’s Olaf, Josh Gad.
Following the release of their duet, could fans get to see a Frozen reunion on screen tonight?
There’s always the chance the “surprise” track on Strictly could be her number with Gad, but might he join her as a special guest?

The tracklist for Menzel’s Christmas: A Season of Love includes hits such as The Most Wonderful Time Of The Year, Oh Holy Night and Winter Wonderland.
She has also duetted with popstar Ariana Grande on a brand new original called A Hand for Mrs. Claus.
In addition Grande and Gad, features on the album include Billy Porter and Menzel’s husband Aaron Lohr.
Gad isn’t the only connection to Frozen, either, as the Elsa star has once again teased up with Kristen Anderson-Lopez and Robert Lopez, the writers behind the Disney movies’ music, not least global hit Let It Go.
Menzel first found success on Broadway, kickstarting her career as Maureen in the musical Rent.
She later shot to fame for her Tony Award-winning role as Elphaba in Wicked.
It was the release of Disney’s Frozen in 2013 which catapulted the actress to global superstardom, though, as she brought her vocal talents to the part of Elsa.
Elsa’s big song from the first film, Let It Go, spent 70 weeks on the UK singles chart and became a worldwide phenomenon and overnight LGBTQ+ anthem.

Earlier this month, fans finally got to see Menzel reprise her role as Elsa when the sequel, Frozen 2, was released in cinemas.
In the second movie, Elsa continues to hunt for the truth about her identity, going on a mission to save Arendelle from strange forces and discover the source of her own magical powers.
Gad also returned as loveable snowman Olaf, while co-stars Kristen Bell and Jonathan Groff picked their characters, Anna and Kristof, back up too.
Since the first Frozen, there has been one big question on everyone’s lips: will Elsa get a girlfriend?
***WARNING: FROZEN 2 SPOILERS AHEAD***
Now the new film is out, it’s clear the filmmakers chose not to address Elsa’s ambiguous sexuality, steering clear of her love life altogether.
While director Jennifer Lee has emphasised that romance just wasn’t the priority for Elsa at this point in her life, while she’s still learning to come to terms with her powers, Menzel teased the possibility of a relationship for her character in the future.
In an interview with Refinery29, she was asked about Elsa and romance, replying: “I’m not trying to avoid your question, but what’s important to realise is that it’s not about romantic love — she’s never been about that.
In these films, the most powerful thing is that she’s always trying to find and build the love inside for herself,” the actress continued. “She doesn’t need a man to complete her in any way, and the focus isn’t there.
“Maybe one day in another incarnation or another sequel, who knows,” she added.”
