Khloe Kardashian’s fury as leaked bikini snap was taken ‘by her grandma MJ’

Khloe Kardashian has been caught up in a social media storm this past week, after an unedited bikini photo of the Keeping Up With The Kardashians star was posted online without her permission.

The 36-year-old reality TV siren and her team have scrambled to get the photograph removed from the internet which sees a bikini-clad Khloe beam in a candid moment.

Earlier this week, it was claimed by the Kardashian clan that Khloe’s assistant took the now viral shot.

However, new legal documents now suggest that it was actually Khloe’s maternal grandmother Mary Jo "MJ" Shannon who captured and uploaded the unedited snap.

MJ, who is Kris Jenner’s mother, is named as the copyright holder of the viral image in a statement which has been shared by the family's lawyers.

The statement reads: "We are counsel for Mary Jo 'MJ' Shannon.

“Copies of a photograph, captured by our client, which captures her family member Khloe Kardashian in a private location (wearing a leopard print bikini), have been unlawfully posted online, without authorization."

Initially, the Kardashian family claimed that the photo was posted to social media by mistake.

A statement from the marketing officer for KKW Brands Tracy Romulus read: “The colour edited photo was taken of Khloé during a private family gathering and posted to social media without permission by mistake by an assistant.

“Khloé looks beautiful but it is within the right of the copyright owner to not want an image not intended to be published taken down."

It comes after Khloe has faced endless criticism and backlash over her edited snaps and changing appearance in recent months.

Khloe’s fans have begun to get ‘fed up’ of the fact she looks like a ‘completely different person’ each time she posts a new Instagram selfie.

And in a recent episode of Keeping Up With The Kardashians, Khloe opened up about how the endless trolling has affected her.

The proud mum to daughter True, 3, said that her ‘soul was at breaking point’ over the constant abuse and criticism.

“My soul is at a breaking point in regards to the public thinking they're allowed to talk about my weight, my face, my personal life."
