Netflix viewers left in floods of tears over new Jason Momoa movie Slumberland

Netflix viewers have been left in tears after watching the streaming platform's latest movie offering.

Slumberland has provoked a sea of emotion with the fantasy adventure flick not only capturing the hearts of its audience with a thought-provoking storyline.

The movie comes from The Hunger Games director Francia Lawrence and stars big-name Hollywood actors including Jason Momoa, Chris O'Dowd, and Marlow Barkley.

The plot sees a young girl discover a secret map to the dreamworld of Slumberland, and with the help of an eccentric outlaw, she traverses dreams and flees nightmares, with the hope that she will be able to see her late father again.

The touching tale has seen fans rushing to Twitter to share their feelings after watching the flick – and they can't hold back the tears.

One wrote: "#Slumberland made me cry. It's a beautiful film though."

Another gushed: "Nobody WARNED ME that #Slumberland would make me CRY for gosh sakes."

A third said: "Not #Slumberland making me cry."

A fourth social media user Tweeted: "#Slumberland had no business being a tearjerker like that! Damn!!"

A fifth noted: "Slumberland hit me right in the feels, tears upon tears. What a film."

Aquaman star Jason recently chatted about how impressed he was with the wardrobe department of the film as he praised the hard work done by all to make the cinematic offering a huge success.

He said: "It's all the things that I love. I mean, everything down to the purples and the velvets and all this."

The actor then elaborated further as he revealed how playing Flip took him back to his own childhood thanks to the intimate details of his costumes for the role.

He said: "Then the gloves that I wear are my skate gloves that I wore when I was a little kid that I loved. They're like my favourite gloves.

"It's wonderful to put all that on. Your hair, your makeup team, and your costume, it made it very easy to slip into Flip."

Slumberland is available to watch on Netflix now.
