Suzi Quatro smashed a fan over the head with her guitar after he made a rude gesture.

And the catsuit lover thinks men who carry out sex assaults should be “strung up by their balls” – but warned women not to put themselves in “stupid situations”.

The US rocker, 69, said her gutsy nature helped fend off unwelcome advances. Suzi said of one encounter at a gig: “A guy front of stage was making rude gestures with his tongue.

“So I moved over, swung my guitar and whacked him on the head. I made it look like part of the show.

“He was disgusting – but he paid the price. My attitude was, ‘I’m a bass player, do you have a problem with that?’ Even to this day, if somebody p**ses me off I’ll be like, ‘Don’t f**k with me.’”

Suzi, who lives in Essex, said many female singers are too willing to strip off on stage.

She said: “It’s like, ‘How many clothes can you take off?’ I don’t like it.

“We have MeToo but women go on stage embarrassingly naked. How does that make sense?” Suzi, who has an upcoming docu-film called Suzi Q, added of MeToo: “If I was an actress and had a work meeting with a producer in his room, that would ring a warning bell.

“If he walked out of his bathroom in a bathrobe, would any woman with half a brain stay?”

She added: “I’m all for empowering women, but don’t be dumb.”
