Where Mis-Teeq stars are now – bitter feud, ditching fame and huge net worth
In the noughties, Mis-Teeq captured the hearts of British music fans with their garage sound and catchy raps, and while they weren't to everyone's taste, they had more than their fair share of success.
Fuelled with ambition, Alesha Dixon met Sabrina Washington, at a Dance Attic Studios in 1997, harbouring the goal of becoming a pop sensation. And after Tina Barrett, that dream came close to coming to fruition fruition.

Sadly, the band at the time, Face2Face, never got off the ground, with Barrett leaving for S Club 7. But Dixon soon drafted in Su-Elise Nash and Zena McNally and formed Mis-Teeq.
Over a half decade between 2000 and 2005, the London girl group sold a whopping 12 million records and bagged seven back-to-back top ten singles, including One Night Stand and Scandalous.
Sadly for fans, in the end, the popular group split up. And it's fair to say they're not on the greatest of terms. But what are they all up to now?
Sabrina Washington
In 2020, Washington went to war with Dixon, going to court to sue over royalties for their songs, insisting that she deserved the same amount of money as her bandmate. However, Dixon claimed her claims did not reflect the reality of the situation.
Denying the allegations, her spokesperson told The Daily Mail: "Alesha wrote the raps on both Why and All I Want, and that is why she gets a split; the rest of the song was written by a production team.
"Sabrina was the lead vocalist, but certainly not the main writer.
"In terms of the entire Mis-Teeq catalogue, Alesha receives a larger share as she contributed more to the songs, including writing all the raps."
Unsurprisingly, the feud didn't finish there. In a brutal attack, Washington claimed that her old friend is lacking in the talent department.
She said: "A lot of people say Alesha should have stuck to MC-ing because her voice isn't that strong and I agree. I did a lot of the work in Mis-Teeq."
Outside of court, she appeared on the tenth series of I'm A Celebrity Get Me Out of Here, starred on a hip-hop comedy panel show, called Don't Hate the Playaz, with Maya Jama, and even briefly returned to music. In 2019, she released a single called 'Gone' about a former pop star hitting the bottle after her fame came to an end.
In the lyrics, she begs for the help of God, singing: "I prayed to God to forgive me, the demons in my head tryna kill me."
Su-Elise Nash
While some merely called Nash a backing singer, she's proven that she possesses remarkable intelligence. She managed to earn a teaching qualification and successfully opened up the Su-Elise Stage School in Gravesend, Kent.
Showcasing her business credentials, she opened branches in Dulwich, Brentford, Cranbrooke, Croyden and Paddock Wood. However, after leaving the group, she didn't stop making music altogether.
In 2009, she teamed up with Lethal Bizzle, to release the song, 'Not Going Out Tonight'. She now lives with her beloved boyfriend in sunny Sydney, Australia.
Alesha Dixon
Without a doubt, Dixon has gone on to accumulate the highest level of fame. While things initially looked bleak when her husband, MC Harvey, finished with her for Javine Hylton and her first two solo singles bombed, she managed to fight back.
She explained: "My biggest, riskiest decision was to leave Mis-Teeq. I had been in a girl group for eight years. That was my comfort zone," she wrote in an essay for The Big Issue.
"But there was an instinct, a feeling towards the end of my time in the group that I wasn't happy.
"And I needed to leave. I was only 25, I hadn't paid off a mortgage, I still had bills to pay. So, it was a major, major decision.
"I signed a new record deal and spent a year-and-a-half making an album that the record company shelved, then found myself out of a deal. So I was like, 'What have I done?'"
In a testament to her skills, she managed to win Strictly Come Dancing in 2007 before going on to become a judge on Britain's Got Talent, where she remains to this day.
She is said to have raked in a fortune of £8million, according to Celebrity Net Worth, after finding success on huge shows such as Britain's Got Talent and The Greatest Dancer.
Zena McNally
While Zena only appeared on one single before leaving the group to pursue pastures new, she was still an integral part of the band. In 2007, she teamed up with Trevor Nelson to present 1Extra, but her life soon took a drastic turn.
After falling in love with Chicago Fire football icon, Cory Gibbs, she decided it was time for a change of scenery. Consequently, she moved to the States, where she intended to settle down.
Alas, the relationship fizzled out, and the pair divorced in 2014. In the years since, Zena has become a director of a property investment company and also works in entertainment management in Los Angeles.
