Zayn Malik was filmed squaring up to a reveller in New York this week during a 2am clash.
The One Direction singer, 28, was visibly enraged and started swearing at an unknown man outside Amsterdam Billiards Club in the East Village of the city.
In footage obtained by TMZ, Zayn can be seen in white trousers as he shouts "who the f*** are you" at the man.
What appears to be his security guard can be seen trying to break up the row and keep the men apart.
According to the site, Zayn was smoking outside the venue when a group of men emerged from inside.
The group is then reported to have "tried to pick a fight" with the PillowTalk singer.
Despite the men squaring up, they add that "no punches were ever thrown and police were not involved".
In the clip, Zayn can be heard shouting: "What the f*** are you talking about?"
After the unknown man shouts back "who the f*** are you," the group appears heated as friends of both men try to keep them apart.
"Who the f*** are you?" Zayn replies before shouting: "Who the f*** said anything to you."
A representative for Zayn has been contacted by Daily Star for comment.
Zayn currently lives in New York with his supermodel partner Gigi Hadid and their daughter Khai.
Announcing the news via Instagram, Zayn posted on September 23: "Our baby girl is here, healthy and beautiful.
"To try put into words how I am feeling right now would be an impossible task.
"The love I feel for this tiny human is beyond my understanding.
"Grateful to know her, proud to call her mine, and thankful for the life we will have together x."
