BBC Strictly’s Ellie Leach opens up on ‘the one thing she loves’ about Vito Coppola amid romance rumours
Ellie Leach has shared the one thing she loves about her Strictly Come Dancing partner Vito Coppola in a new interview, as romance rumours continue to circulate.
Coronation Street actress Ellie, 22, is partnered with professional dancer Vito, 31, on the BBC One show, and the duo have proven to be a perfect pairing with their undeniable chemistry on the dance floor.
Ellie, who played Faye Windass on the ITV soap until earlier this year, has now revealed her favourite thing about Vito as she gushed over his "sense of humour" and how much "fun" the duo have while working on Strictly together.
"Your sense of humour is a little bit different to mine, but I think we're slowly starting to understand the humour. The thing that I love about you is when you get words wrong," Ellie said to Vito in a new interview with Closer magazine.
She added: "You know you've got it wrong, but you pretend that you haven't, and I say, 'what did you just say?' and he's like 'what do you mean?'"
Ellie went on to praise Vito's teaching techniques, adding: "But also, I think we just have fun. I love that you want to be a teacher who brings fun into the training room."
It comes after Ellie revealed Vito has met her family and that her dad "loves" the professional dancer in a candid new interview on Strictly with Claudia Winkleman.
"My dad is usually a man of few words and he rarely shows any emotion, but every week he messages me and is like 'so proud of you, crying again' – like, welling up. And he's just been so amazing and such a support. It's been nice to know that I'm making him proud," Ellie said.
"He loves Vito!" reiterated Ellie, as the dancer himself explained why he's a fan of his partner's nearest and dearest.
Vito added: "I love Ellie's family because you know, we exchange cooking recipes and I say like, 'OK, show me how you do the gravy and the mash potato and I'll tell you how to do pasta…'"
As for Ellie and Vito's supposed romance, things took a pretty saucy twist while reflecting on their routine from the live show.
Claudia asked about the control element, to which Vito replied: "So much control [was needed], it was difficult as coming from last week, [Ellie] was so spread out with everything and this one you have to keep everything in.
"There is a ball of fire between us and I said, 'Look at me and eat me with your eyes!'"
