BBC viewers left cringing as Steve Cram makes major Mo Farah blunder
Sir Mo Farah finishes fourth on farewell to London racing at Big Half
BBC news presenter Steve Cram sparked fury among viewers on Sunday after he said Mo Farah “should go for a pint” after coming fourth in the Great North Run.
However, his co-star, Paula Radcliffe was quick to correct him, telling him: “I don’t think he’s allowed to.”
Both Paula and Steve were giving their commentary while Mo was greeted by cheers of support following the race.
Steve said: “You know what he should do, I bet he has never done this, he should go and have a pint at the Bamburgh because that’s where everybody meets, or The New Crown.
“It’s a Great North Run experience that people enjoy, anyway where ever he has a pint, you’ve earned it Mo, well done.”

“I am not sure he is allowed a pint,” Paula weighed in before there was an awkward moment of silence.
However, Steve seemed to ignore Paula’s comment as he pointed out “Gabby (Logan) has got him now.”
Mo Farah was named among the 500 most influential Muslims in the world in 2013.
The dominant belief in Islam is that not only is the consumption of alcohol in any of its forms forbidden, but Muslims should avoid even indirect association with alcohol.
