Britains Got Talents Noodle the Cat performance explained ahead of semi final

Amanda Holden on Britain's Got Talent

The singing cat left Britain’s Got Talent judges Bruno Tonioli, Alesha Dixon, Amanda Holden and Simon Cowell confused as to how the 3D feline had such an impressive voice.

Since his performance, one audience member has revealed the secret behind the grey cartoon cat’s performance and how he managed to fool the judges.

Before the performance, Noodle said in a VT clip: “I’ve got a big surprise for the judges, there is a lot more to this cat than meets the eye.”

After stunning the audience with his smooth voice and performance of the ballad, the clip was quickly posted to YouTube where one audience member revealed the secret behind the illusion.

Commenting underneath the video, @danlightfoot6592 said: “I was in the audience for this audition. The cat was a screen projection. Clever how they put it on stage for the TV show.”

@JacobElyachar commented: “Wow!!! I never thought that a 3D cat would amaze me! Whoever is Noodle’s vocalist just knocked it out of the park!”

@mugsymo07 added: “Thank you!! This was driving me mad trying to confirm if it was CGI or robot/puppet or some new tech.”

@mrsTimmyFranklin penned: “Thanks for the explanation as I was sure it looked like CGI and was completely baffled as to how it was being seen.”

@JackieWild wrote: “Oh thank you for saying this I kept trying to figure out if the cat is really there physically because it looked like CGI but not really CGI… I was so confused!!”

@skaterricky praised: “The animation was high quality. I was having difficulty putting down if it was a puppeteer or some type of green screen or computer generated in editing. The singing was top notch and the cat voice was actually cleverly done as well.” (sic)

As Noodle the Cat finished their performance, Amanda exclaimed: “OMG, I can’t believe a voice has come out of somebody with a tiny neck!”

Bruno added: “Oh my god, now that’s a vocal! You must be Michael Bublé’s pussycat those vocals were insane.”

Simon went on and praised: “I’ve always said that one year a singing animal would win Britain’s Got Talent – I’ve always said it, I’ve not always necessarily believed it.

“I never thought one day I would be talking to a cat saying I love your singing voice but Noodle, I think you can win the show.”

Noodle happily exited the stage with four yeses from the judges, and will take to the stage tonight in order to impress at the semi-finals.

If Noodle makes it through to the final, he will be joining dancer Viggo, young singer Olivia, singer Amy Lou Smith, dancer Musa Motha, dance troop Ghetto Kids and opera singer Travis George.

Britain’s Got Talent continues tonight from 8pm on ITV.
