The New Legends of Monkey

The New Legends of Monkey is an Australian and New Zealand co-production about a young monk who undertakes a perilous journey.

The series is based on the Japanese series Monkey, which first gained popularity when it aired in the 1970s and 80s.

Fans of great action sequences are likely to enjoy another Netflix series called Warrior Nun.

The series also features young protagonists who are going through the usual trials of growing up.

However, this series takes a more supernatural turn as its main focus is on Ava (played by Alba Baptista) who wakes up in a morgue with strange powers.

The first series is already available to stream on Netflix and a second outing has been commissioned.

Wu Assassins

Wu Assassins features some impressive martial arts fights for those fans of Cobra Kai who love this.

The show is about a Chinatown chef in San Francisco who finds himself entangled in the world of Chinese Triads.

The gang members are attempting to pursue some ancient powers called the Wu Xing

However, just like in Warrior Nun, things soon take a supernatural turn in the Netflix series.

Kingdom has a lot in common with Cobra Kai in terms of its basic premise.

The series is about a former MMA fight named Alvey Kulina (Frank Grillo) who now runs a mixed martial arts gym.

However, the American series is much darker than Cobra Kai, dealing with heavier themes like violence, drugs and sex work.

But if you’re looking for a show looking at how martial arts can help you find a purpose, then look no further.

Stranger Things

Of course, on face value, Stranger Things and Cobra Kai are very different television shows.

Stranger Things is all about a small town called Hawkins, which is struggling to deal with a supernatural threat.

However, both series follows the perils of growing up and the unique pressures you face in a very believable way.

As well as this, the series are both full of 80s nostalgia, which many fans will love as well.
