Coleen Nolan shares health update on sister Linda – Thought it would be bad

GMB: Coleen Nolan gives update on sister’s cancer battle

Coleen Nolan admitted she and her family were preparing for bad news as she shared sister Linda Nolan’s latest health update. Linda has been battling cancer of the brain and the family has been sharing updates with fans.

Appearing on Monday’s Good Morning Britain to talk about The Real Full Monty: Jingle Balls, which airs on Monday evening, Coleen gave an update on her sister. It came as Susanna Reid mentioned how the family uses humour to get them through the difficult times.

“Yeah, I mean I saw her this weekend, actually,” Coleen explained. “My sister had a pre-Christmas family do and we were all there.

“And I saw Linda and she’s just doing so well, and I was saying to her, ‘Are you sure you’re not winding me up with all this and it’s just great publicity? because you just look great.'”

“She does,” Susanna agreed before Coleen went on to applaud her sister’s strength.

“She was there and honestly she’s a machine, I think she might be an AI or whatever it’s called because she just goes on and on,” she joked.

Talking about a recent update which thankfully revealed Linda’s tumour had shrunk, Coleen admitted: “And we really thought, I have to be honest, this time when she went for her scans, I think we were all thinking – we didn’t want to vocalise it- but we all thought, ‘I don’t think this is going to be a good one.’

“She seemed to have gone down a bit and then when it came back it had shrunk it was just such a lift.”

Coleen’s latest edition of The Real Full Monty will see her in a festive special of the show, which raises awareness of attending cancer checks.

Guests include TV presenter Julia Bradbury, actress Sherrie Hewson, TV personality Gemma Collins, pro-skater Vanessa Bauer, actress Victoria Ekanoye, former royal butler Paul Burrell, footballer Ashley Cain, ex-rugby player Ben Cohen, drag queen Ella Vaday and TOWIE star Pete Wicks.
