TV royalty Ram John Holder is currently gracing Weatherfield with his legendary presence on ITV soap Coronation Street as Sarge Bailey.
The decorated star recently made his highly anticipated TV comeback and he's not letting his upcoming milestone age slow him down.
The iconic actor has joined the cobbles in the substantial role of Ed and Ronnie Bailey's dad, Sarge Bailey, and was spotted filming scenes on set at the ITV studios in Manchester earlier this year, leaving fans thrilled.

TV past
Eagle-eyed fans will notice that this isn't a first soap rodeo for the stalwart actor Ram John Holder.
Making his TV comeback and his second stint in a soap, the Guyanese-British actor and musician played Cedric Lucas on EastEnders in September 2006 and is best known for playing Augustus 'Porkpie' Grant in the infamous Channel 4 sitcom Desmond's, followed by its spin-off series Porkpie. Ram is no stranger to other TV work with a whole host of impressive credits against his name such as Casualty, Doctors and Holby City.
He also played Friday in two different adaptations of the 1719 Robinson Crusoe story – Daniel Defoe: Man Friday, in 1972, and Robinson Crusoe, in 1974. More recently in 2017, Ram has appeared in both children's show The Story of Tracy Beaker and Death in Paradise, as Nelson Myers, the estranged father of main character PC Dwayne Myers, played by Danny John-Jules, where he reprised his role a further three times the following year.

Royal nod
The 89-year-old was also awarded a Commander of the Most Excellent Order of the British Empire (CBE) last year in a ceremony at Buckingham Palace.
he iconic Ram snagged one of the most enviable accolades out there at a sprightly 89 years young. Ram visited Buckingham Palace as part of The Birthday Honours List of 2021 where they rolled out the red carpet for Holder, awarding him this top-tier honor for his outstanding services in drama and music.
Collecting his CBE in 2022, he said: "It is just beyond one’s dreams of what one can achieve – professionally I’m talking about – and of course the award, the accolade. “I couldn’t have pictured it better."
Coronation Street airs Monday, Wednesday and Friday on ITV1 and ITVX at 8pm
