Zeedan Nazir (Played by Qasim Akhtar) was at the centre of the drama on Coronation Street after discovering his wife Rana cheated on him with Kate Connor (Faye Brookes). Zeedan is set to return in an explosive storyline as his sister Alya Nazir (Sair Khan) is desperate for his help, but will his return spell trouble for Alya?

In upcoming scenes next week, Alya is stressed when she realises the food delivery is late to the restaurant, Speed Dial.

Elaine Jones (Paula Wilcox) tries to placate the diners as Alya juggles a call with the delivery driver and another from the bank.

Alya’s is relieved when the delivery finally arrives, but that quickly turns to shock when a customer points at a tarantula crawling across a table, escaping from a boy’s rucksack.

The diners disperse with Alya trying to stay calm as the boy searches for his pet which is now roaming around Speed Daal.

After the spider is finally caught, a tearful Alya tells Elaine that Yasmeen Metcalfe (Shelley King) has somehow managed to empty their bank account.

However, Alya is horrified as she soon learns that the call she took earlier wasn’t from the bank but from a fraudster as she unknowingly allows them to clear out the account, not Yasmeen.

Her desperation soon leads her to leave a voicemail for her brother Zeedan, explaining to him how she has been scammed out of thousands and doesn’t know what to do.

Zeedan soon arrives at Speed Daal to a distressed Alya, forcing her to explain her mistake to co-owner Yasmeen.

Offering to transfer £50k to tide her over, Zeedan could be getting himself into more trouble than it’s worth.

Will Alya live to regret it if she accepts her brother’s offer?

How has Zeedan got his hands on such a large sum of money? Could he be hiding a criminal secret from Alya?

Viewers will remember the Speed Daal owner was wracked with guilt after leaving Kate and Rana Nazir’s (Bhavana Limbachia) attacker for dead.

Rana and Kate were followed home by nasty Phil as the loudmouth harassed the girls, hearing them scream, Zeedan quickly ran to their defence, punching Phil in the head.

Blaming Rana for the mess, Zeedan said: “I could end up going down for it spend the next few years inside. All because I lost it. All because of you.”

After seemingly being cleared for the attack, Zeedan packed his bags and told his family that he was leaving Weatherfield, his family devastated.

Speaking on Zeedan’s return, Sair Kahn said: “There are definitely alarm bells ringing, all of sudden he’s got £50,000 in his pocket which means as a family they haven’t been privy to his business successes.

“It just goes back to how distant he’s been over the last few years,” Sair explained.

“He’s been holding his cards very close to his chest, but as the story unfolds, we’ll see why he hasn’t been so forthcoming about what’s been going on in his personal life.”

Soon after his return, Zeedan is attacked, and Alya is completely shocked but decides to try and get to the bottom of the attack.

However, it isn’t long before she starts adding it all up, and it doesn’t quite make sense, Said explained: “Obviously, there’s always random attacks, but there seems to be a reason and motive here.

“She’s trying to fact find, and when he has no answers for her, then that’s the thing that ignites her suspicion and makes her wonder if he’s really telling the truth,” Sair said.

Coronation Street airs Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays at 7:30pm and 8:30pm.
