Asha Alahan (played by Tanisha Gorey) executed the final part of her plan to expose Corey Brent (Maximus Evans) as a killer last week in Coronation Street. The manipulative resident is now the prime suspect in the attack and may lash out at Asha for gathering evidence on him. Will the schoolgirl’s determination to see Corey brought to justice lead to her fleeing Weatherfield?
In recent scenes, Asha drugged Corey to allow herself enough time to go through his phone and find damning evidence.
However, Corey woke up to find Asha going through his phone before accidentally falling down a flight of stairs.
Asha, Nina Lucas (Mollie Gallagher) and Abi Franklin (Sally Carman) did the right thing and called an ambulance.
Meanwhile, the clever schoolgirl went through Corey’s phone and found proof he had returned to the scene of the attack.

Asha handed the evidence over to the police who have placed Corey into the frame despite his pleas that he tried to save Seb Franklin (Harry Visinoni) .
Speaking to Express.co.uk and other press, Tanisha explained why it was so important for Asha to prove Corey’s guilt.
The actress opened up on how Asha was feeling in the lead up to Corey falling down the stairs.
“She’s worried, she’s scared,” Tanisha said. “We’ve seen Cory lash out at Asha already.”
“Even physically he’s six foot two, the height difference is enough for the intimidation,” she continued.
“She’s so scared but she needs to do this for Nina, and obviously we’ve lost Seb and it’s just too much for her.
“It doesn’t seem like it but she’s played a massive part in [helping Corey] with [wanting to give him] an alibi.
“So I feel like she really does need to do this, she’s so scared, but she’s putting that to the side and putting Nina’s thoughts and feelings before her.”

Although Corey is currently in hospital, will he track down Asha to get revenge once he recovers?
The manipulative teenager initially placed the blame for Seb’s attack on Kelly Neelan (Millie Gibson) and was in the clear.
But Asha’s evidence has made him the prime suspect again which has left Corey infuriated.
The schoolgirl feels responsible for the vicious attack and may feel unable to reach out for help if Corey’s behaves violently towards her.
Will Asha decide to flee Weatherfield if Corey takes revenge on her for exposing his connection to the attack?
Elsewhere, Tanisha opened up on Asha’s continuing feelings for her ex-girlfriend Nina.
She said: “When she found out about the attack, we saw she still has feelings for Nina.
“She is the love of her life and was hoping for so much. Asha was slightly obsessive in the relationship but other than that, Nina was the one for her, she wanted to be with her.
“When the attack happened, it really made her think whether she still likes Nina.
“Asha only got back with Corey because she wanted someone to give her attention,” she added.
Coronation Street airs on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays on ITV at 7.30pm.
