Craig Revel Horwood opens up on hardest part of Strictly Come Dancing
Strictly Come Dancing release trailer for new series
Strictly Come Dancing’s Craig Revel Horwood has opened up about the hardest part of sitting on the judging panel.
The 58-year-old has been part of the BBC dance competition since it started back in 2004 and has been known to ruffle a few feathers with his frank critiques.
With the 21st series kicking off last weekend, Craig returned to the judging panel alongside Shirley Ballas, Motsi Mabuse and Anton Du Beke.
Being part of the show for nearly 20 years, Craig has seen his fair share of dancefloor blunders, emotional routines and an array of celebrities raise the Glitterball Trophy.
Speaking about both the biggest joys and challenges of starring in the BBC show, Craig confessed some of the hardest moments come down to the final vote.

He said: “The biggest joy I take from my job is getting front-row seats to the best dance show in the world.
“The biggest challenge I think for me is making the right decisions when we’re letting someone go.
“I think that’s the hardest thing for me in the job.”
On Saturday night, viewers watched the contestants get put into pairs with the professional dancers, although some fan favourites missed out on getting a celebrity partner.

This year, pros such as Nadiya Bychkova and Neil Jones won’t be competing, although they’ll make appearances during the group routines.
Speaking about the professionals on the show, Craig had nothing but praise as he called the 19 dancers “amazing”.
He said: “Well, they really make the show. They are the teachers, they’re the nurturers, they’re the embracers.
“They’re the ones that pick up the pieces after the Judges have judged them, they have to be all sorts of different things apart from just teachers.
“They also have to be there to support, so they work really, really hard. They’re the first ones in the last ones out and they’re just amazing.”
