Dancing on Ice backlash: ITV viewers blast Ashley and John’s scoring ‘Doesn’t make sense’

Dancing on Ice: Colin Jackson and Graham Bell added to line-up

ITV viewers saw the remaining six skaters take to the rink on Dancing on Ice, all hoping to make it through to the third week of the competition. Graham Bell was one of the celebrities who were keen to impress the panel but despite receiving Jayne Torvill and Christopher Dean’s highest scores so far, Ashley and John only awarded him six points each. This left many viewers questioning the decision, especially after the scores were lower than previous competitor Billie Shepherd’s efforts.

Graham has experienced a tricky start to the show after it was announced his partner Yebin Mok had suffered an injury.

After she had been ruled out of competing for at least the first two weeks, he performed his first skate with substitute partner, Karina Manta.

He got off to a flying start tonight after skating an impressive routine to the music from Ski Sunday, which he admitted “meant a lot” to him.

From the panel, he was awarded 26 points in total, with Torvill and Dean particularly impressed at his technical ability.

But many of those watching at home weren’t happy with panellist John and Ashley’s decision to score Graham six points each.

Taking to Twitter, one fan questioned: “What the actual f**k!!! Graham scoring less than Billie from Ashley and John????”

Another commented: “How the f**k are they giving Graham 6’s the same as Billie, who was just dragged and thrown around!? #DancingOnIce.”

“Are Ashley and John blind?? Graham was light years ahead of Billie in terms of skill!! #DancingOnIce,” echoed a third frustrated fan.
