Dancing On Ice's Rebekah Vardy shows off amazing abs as a result of training

Dancing On Ice 2021 star Rebekah Vardy has emphasised just how ‘tough’ her training is, crediting it for helping her ‘see her abs again’.

In preparation for this year’s socially-distanced Dancing On Ice, the participants have been training for several weeks to make sure their skating skills are up to scratch.

Rebekah, 38, delivered her first performance during the launch show, whirling around the ice rink with her professional partner Andy Buchanan to Sia’s Alive.

A couple of days ago, Rebekah – who’s married to England footballer Jamie Vardy – shared a photograph on Instagram from behind-the-scenes, showing the undergarments that she wears underneath her skating costume.

Several people praised her on her toned physique, with one person commenting: ‘Go on girl look them abs.’

During a recent interview, Rebekah remarked that she thinks fake tan makes her abs ‘look better’ than they actually are.

‘I think the tan is making them look better than they are but I’ll take it as I never thought I’d see my abs ever again,’ she told the Mirror.

‘I didn’t look like this before the skate training started and I probably won’t once it’s finished but skating everyday for months is an extremely tough workout. The professionals make it look effortless but it’s a hardcore sport.’

While Rebekah may be making significant strides with her training, she experienced a serious mishap early on when she accidentally sliced her partner Andy’s face.

Rebekah later admitted that she initially ‘laughed’ when the incident happened as she thought he was joking.

During a recent appearance on Loose Women, Andy spoke about the difficulty of not being able to hug his wife due to Covid restrictions while filming.

‘I’m just glad I have a partner that I really like and we have fun everyday,’ he said while discussing the bubble he is in with Rebekah.

‘Man, if I was stuck with somebody who was a nightmare, I mean come on.’

Dancing On Ice returns on Sunday at 6pm on ITV.
